Project Description:
“Diffraction” is the seventh of this series of abstract, drawings and was created in studio in Mountain View, CA. This work furthers the shift in the evolution of the drawings in this series toward tighter, more orderly compositions as I began a deeper study of consciousness and spirituality and sought to absorb and distill complex information in preparation for writing a book. This drawing was inspired by my initial study of quantum mechanics and the tenant of quantum theory that light and matter can exhibit properties of both a wave and a particle – known as wave-particle duality, a mind-bending concept that would come to play an important role in my mind as I considered various ways consciousness is affective in our reality.
